Dover, DE — Racing resumes after a two-day Thanksgiving holiday at Dover Downs on Saturday, November 27 with co-featured $14,500 paces. First post is 5:30 p.m. In the first co-feature, a $14,500 event for non-winners of $50,001 lifetime, Curtis Larrimore’s Anzac, driven by Steve Warrington; JP Hickory, owned by Nick and Corey Callahan, with Ross Wolfenden in the bike; Joe and JoAnn Thomson’s-leased Cookie Dough Boy, piloted by Hal Belote; and Pat DeFederico’s A Touch Of Class, with Herve Filion, are among the nine starters in a wide open event. The rest of the competitive field includes Elmer Fannin’s Mr Socks, with Jim Morand, leaving from the rail; Kelly, Rafanelli and Mancini’s Elwood J Blues N, handled by Frank Milby, alongside; Forrest Bartlett’s Marlars Trump Card, steered by George Dennis; Bill Emmons’ JT Wood, reined by Brad Hanners; and Sing De Vie, owned by Kathleen Beegle and trainer Steve Cook, driven by Eddie Davis, Jr. The second $14,500 event is led by Gemini Racing’s Robert Henry (Jim Morand) and Doris Rice’s Scotian Slick (Hal Belote), who drew post one. The opposition is led by Dale Wootten’s Ace Of Arts (Roger Plante), Eleanor Davis’ Mackie Boy (Ross Wolfenden) and Rich N Dandy (Hal Belote), owned by Wendy Crissman and Denzil Carpenter. Rounding out the field are Don Naylor’s Tina’s Son (Mike Cole), Big Muddy (Tim Curtin), owned by Sam Lewis and Ginger Tree Stable, Griffin Conley’s Perfectly Awful and Bob Stevenson’s The Wrath Of Puppy (Eddie Davis, Jr.). Alan Revell’s Autotrack (Hal Belote) is the one to beat in a $10,800 Delaware Pace. Chief rivals are Paradee, Swinford and Warren Racing Stable’s Sultan Of Suede (Billy Mann), Gamerlane (Mike Cole), owned by Wayne Pryor and Wendy Crissman and Evelyn Shahan’s TEs Specialpreview (Valerie Warnick).
