Yonkers, NY — Consider this the first in a series of friendly reminders that Yonkers Raceway is to be dark for live racing during the early part of June.

After the program of Saturday night, May 31, the next live card is the next Saturday, June 7. This hiatus was part of the Raceway’s original 2008 schedule submitted to, and approved by, the New York State Racing and Wagering Board.

Please be advised that during live racing’s R&R, afternoon simulcasting continues around the NYRA schedule (featuring the June 7 Belmont Stakes), while evening simulcasting is to be offered both Thursday and Friday (June 5 and 6).

Leading up to the down time, Yonkers continues its five-night-per-week live harness schedule, with first post every Monday (including Memorial Day, May 26), Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:40 p.m.
