It wasn’t the North America Cup, Hambletonian or Kentucky Futurity, but Scott Zeron proved Friday night (Nov. 17) at the Meadowlands that it doesn’t necessarily take a major stakes event to find him in the winner’s circle, as the 34-year-old, known as “The Money Man,” guided five winners on the card.

Grand Circuit action returned to Harrah’s Hoosier Park with five divisions of The Star Destroyer for 3-year-olds highlighting the 14-race card on Friday (Nov. 17). The rainy weather seemed to have no restraint on Smoking Jet and Penpaperpaige, who were both Friday (Nov. 17) night Open Pace winners at Dayton Raceway.

The full field of 3-year-olds that went postward in the $17,500 feature race at Plainridge Park on Friday (Nov. 17) was so good, it yielded two winners. Better Option (Jay Randall) and the aptly named Finally Friday (Nick Graffam) finished in a dead heat as four horses hit the line in unison.
