Dover, DE — Love You Most overpowered six rivals in 1:55.2 for her second straight victory in the $22,000 Open Handicap Trot at Dover Downs on Wednesday, December 29. Play Chip dropped down in class and prevailed in the secondary feature. Love You Most drew off in the stretch for a victory in the Open Handicap Trot. For the fifth time since the current meet began in November, Eddie Dennis drove Love You Most to an impressive victory in the feature trot. This time Dennis wheeled the Yankee Glide five-year-old mare to the outside just before the three-quarters and then raced alongside leader Zizi’s Comet (Jim Morand) until the head of the lane when she pulled off for a resounding win. Mr Incredible (Vic Kirby) closed on the outside to finish second with Pretty Goal Vita (Jim King) closing between horses to finish third.
With her ninth win of the season, Love You Most closes out 2004 as a winner of $98,874 for owners George and Ed Hobbs of Harrington, Delaware.

Play Chip rallied to cross the wire first in the Winners Over Trot.
Massina Stable and trainer-driver Mark Lancaster’s Play Chip showed her class in winning the sub-featured $15,500 Winners Over Trot in a fast finishing 1:57.1. Esquire Ascot (Roger Plante), overlooked at 20-1, closed stoutly to take second money. Notorious Buck (Travis Bowman) was third.
Jim Morand drove 12-1 shot Max Power, owned by Ed Mass and Howard Paisley, to a 1:55 triumph in one of two $10,800 Delaware paces. Excellentadventure (Roger Plante) was next. Fox Valley Knight (Ross Wolfenden) was the show horse.
Gary Simendinger’s Rockem N took the second $10,800 First State event, scoring a 1:55.1 win, one of three for driver Steve Warrington. Western Fate (Toby Lynch) edged Sultan Of Suede (Billy Mann) for second.
Warrington also guided Lorie and Paul Davis’ Brookfieldpoketime to a second consecutive win in a $9,000 Delaware pace in 1:57.
In a $7,200 Delaware pace for young horses, Bob Larrimore’s two-year-old gelding Beach Believer sat second for Joe Sullivan until mid-stretch before coming out to overtake front pacing Hot Lather (Brad Hanners) on the way to a 1:57.3 victory. Tulsa Engaged (Gary Botsch) closed to finish third.
