Bluesville (Ron Harp) captures the featured $7,500 pace a tVernon Downs on Saturday (Aug. 2).

Drivers George Napolitano Jr. and Ridge Warren won three races each on a ten-race card at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania on Saturday (Aug. 2) afternoon, and between them accounted for all of the featured contests.

Quarrel (Mike Merton) captures the $10,000 featured fillies & mares’ pace at Tioga Downs on Friday (Aug. 1).

Forty G’s (Roman Lopez) captures the featured $7,500 trot at Vernon Downs on Friday (Aug. 1).

While most eyes will be on the Hambletonian and the undercard supporting it at The Meadowlands this weekend, The Red Mile will provide plenty of quality competition on Sunday (Aug. 3). The 16-race card features two $80,000 first round legs of the Kentucky Championship Series for 3-year-old filly trotters and sophomore male pacers. The presence of the outstanding Yo Tillie and highly competitive fields in the stakes-laden line-up promises to be an excellent evening of racing.

On a day much cooler than the average weather around Harrah’s Philadelphia in recent memory, it was the sophomore pacing filly Royally Hot who raised the mercury, taking Friday’s (Aug. 1) $14,000 distaff pacing feature in 1:53.4.

Kyle DiBenedetto notched a career milestone on July 30, by winning his 7,000th win aboard Soprese in 1:59 – $13.00 at Monticello Raceway. It was only fitting that he achieved the landmark at the track where he honed his driving skills in his formative years.

On Monday (Aug. 4), sophomore Pacing Fillies will go behind the gate for their sixth leg of New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) worth $121,800. The race showcases a pair of aces from the Jared Bako barn with The Last Martini and Cowgirl Hanover.
