Cote assisted in Bourgault investigation
Further details on the death of the standardbred race horse “Finish Line” at the hand of trainer Frederick Bourgault at a New York training facility last July reveal that Brice Cote, private investigator for Jeff Gural’s racetracks, played an integral role in the process that led to Bourgault’s and indictment by Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler and eventual arrest on Jan. 30.

Thoroughbred trainer facing two-year suspension for Clenbuterol from hair sample
In Bill Finley’s Thoroughbred Daily News story, “Facing A Two-Year Suspension For Clenbuterol, Trainer Jeffrey Englehart Says They’ve Got The Wrong Guy,” Englehart, who races at the NYRA tracks and at Finger Lakes, is adamant that he never gave the drug to the horse in question.
Dr. Andy Roberts reelected as District 6B director
Incumbent U.S. Trotting Association Director Dr. Andy Roberts has defeated challenger Steve Stewart by a count of 133-97 in the District 6B election. Dr. Roberts will commence his new term at the seating of the Board of Directors in Columbus, OH on Saturday, March 9.
