Fresh off a third-place effort to Strong Poison in the USS Indianapolis at Harrah’s Hoosier Park, Southwind Bella found her best stride on Sunday (Nov. 19), winning the featured $18,000 Fillies and Mares Open Handicap Pace at MGM Northfield Park.

The race to the Prix d’Amérique starts Sunday afternoon (Nov. 19) at Vincennes, with the first of the four so-called “B-races”: the Prix de Bretagne.

Entering as the headliners on the card, French Wine and Coach Stefanos did not disappoint, delivering dominant victories in their respective divisions.
