Good sophomores at Dayton and Meyersdale (Pa.); rookies rained out
Inclement weather in southwestern Pennsylvania forced programs featuring 2-year-olds at both the Dayton Fair and the Somerset County Fair to be cancelled on Wednesday (Aug. 18) and Thursday (Aug. 19), respectively. Fortunately, 3-year-olds were able to get in their races at both locations on their respective next days.

Racing returns to Greenville (Ohio)
Harness racing returns to Greenville, Ohio, and the Great Darke County Fair this Friday (Aug. 20) with a 6:30 p.m. post time.
FFA Trot at Rock Springs (Meigs Co. Fair) needs one horse
The FFA Trot at Rock Springs (Meigs Co. Fair) did not fill again for today. We will keep the box open until 12:30 p.m. to try and get at least one more horse.
Freshmen shine, sophomores washed out at Washington (PA)
In this “hall-full / half-empty” first part of the 2021 Pennsylvania Fair Circuit season, there was plenty of good racing on Sunday (Aug. 15) for two-year-olds at the Washington County Fairgrounds, known previously as Arden Downs – but then the three-year-olds didn’t get a chance to race the next day because of foul weather.
Free For All Trot held over at Meigs County (OH) Fair
The Free For All Trot did not fill for Wednesday (Aug. 18) at Rock Springs. We are keeping the race open for Thursday (Aug. 19).
