Hamburg, NY – Imprincessgemma A ($5.60) was queen for a day at Buffalo Raceway on Wednesday afternoon (April 26) as she wired the field in the $15,500 Open Pace for the fillies and mares. She defeated American Delight N by 1-3/4 lengths while Bank The Win was third.
Dexter Cup attracts field of seven
Seven horses were entered for the Dexter Cup, the first Grand Circuit event of the season for 3-year-old male trotters, making eliminations unnecessary this Saturday at Freehold Raceway. All seven horses advance directly to the Dexter Cup final, which will go for a purse of $137,775, on May 6 at the half-mile track in central New Jersey.
Prushnok getting a bang out of Dynamite Dylan
After being limited to three starts last season, Dynamite Dylan exploded on the scene at Miami Valley Raceway this month by breaking his maiden with a 1:50.4 win in the first start of his sophomore campaign and following with a victory last week in his elimination of the James K. Hackett Memorial for Ohio-sired 3-year-old male pacers. On Thursday, the homebred colt will try to make it 3-for-3 in ’23 when he faces eight rivals in the $50,000 Hackett championship.
Ahle and Shecandance N prove to be great dance partners
Shecandance N had been razor sharp in $50,000 claimers at Yonkers, a winner in four of her previous five starts. A recent purchase for Maryland based owner Robert Cacamese, the 8-year-old daughter of A Rocknroll Dance did not dissappoint in her local debut, winning the $12,000 Mares Open at Rosecroft on Tuesday (April 25) in 1:53.1.
