A total of $140,000 was up for grabs as the Delaware County Fair hosted the fifth leg of the Buckeye Stallion Series for filly trotters on the second of its five-day meet in Delaware, Ohio, on Monday (Sept. 15). The 19-race card featured three $20,000 divisions of sophomore filly trotters and four $20,000 divisions of freshman filly trotters.

Fasting fastest ever at Gratz (PA) Fair – 1:54.4
The Stay Hungry sophomore gelding Fasting paced the fastest mile in the history of the Gratz Fair oval, 1:54.4, while winning his division’s “A” Sire Stake on Monday (Sept. 15), the second day of the “fair meet” at the northcentral Pennsylvania oval, which had hosted a “2-day” event the previous weekend.
