Nominations for late closers at Hicksville, Ohio, close on August 1
Horsemen are reminded that the nominations for the four late closers at the Defiance County Fair at Hicksville, Ohio, on Sunday (August 21) will close on Monday (August 1.) The four races are the Chuck Peter Memorial Trot and Jay and Helen Volkert Memorial Pace for 2-year-olds and the Defiance County Area Horsemen Association Trot and Jim Corkwell Memorial Pace for 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds.
Seneca County Fair completes successful meet
The Seneca County Fair in Tiffin, Ohio, hosted a successful two-day meet on Monday (July 25) and Tuesday (July 26). Good weather and a fast track were major factors contributing to the success. Some 151 horses were entered for the two sessions with 23 races being contested.
