Brett Miller won the 10,000th race of his career when he piloted Flyin Bullets to an Ohio Sires Stakes victory on Friday night at Eldorado Scioto Downs.

Bart Stimer of Concord, Mich., picked up his 1,000th winning drive on Aug. 22 when he piloted his own Stoneborough to victory at the Defiance County Fair in Hicksville, Ohio.

Tuscan Prince won the second race Friday night at Woodbine Mohawk Park, a C$100,400 Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) Gold division for three-year-old trotting colts and geldings.

Robert “Bob” Schmitz, former Chairman of the Ohio State Racing Commission, has been selected as the 38th Little Brown Jug Wall of Fame honoree by the Delaware County Fair.

Friday (August 25) night Northville highlights had four-year-old trotting gelding Rose Run Xander (Triumphant Caviar – Loconotion) and driver Drew Neill equal the trotting track record for four-year-old trotting geldings set by The Land Shark and Wally McIlmurray, Jr in 2017 in 1:57 flat in race three. Cruisin Thru Time and trainer/driver Kody Massey captured the featured Mares Open Pace in front-running style in 1:55 flat.

The trotters were on full display under the Friday night (Aug. 25) lights at Batavia Downs but the spotlight fell directly on driver Jim Morrill Jr., who choreographed the journeys of the winners of the top two events. 

Dark Eclipse N (Ridge Warren) captures the featured $11,000 fillies & mares’ pace at Tioga Downs on Friday (Aug. 25).

The Empire Breeders Classic (EBC) pacers invade Tioga Downs on Sunday  (Aug. 27) afternoon featuring the finest sophomore NY sired performers in the land.

Driver Tyler Buter wins both divisions of New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for 2-year-old trotting fillies at Vernon Downs on Friday (Aug. 25).
